KnowTango centralizes the collective knowledge of the tango community and provides easy-to-use tools to find the events, venues, and professionals that interest you. Knowledge is power, and now you can find, dance, and connect anywhere in the world.
We started KnowTango in January 2009 as a way to find milongas when we traveled, but quickly found many more applications. Thank you to the hundreds and thousands of contributors from across the world who have expressed overwhelming support and helped make our effort a success. We plan to keep adding more, free functionalities to the site to increase its usefulness to the tango community. If you have suggestions, please email suggestions@knowtango.com.
Henry used data from KnowTango for two senior projects at Yale University. If you would like to read the results or are interested in using KnowTango's data for your own research, please email Henry directly at henry@knowtango.com.

Henry Finkelstein, Founder and CEO. Henry is obsessed with making it easier to learn and teach dance, and adamantly believes people would dance more if they just knew where to go. His affair with tango started in college and right now the relationship is "it's complicated."
Gustavo Fernandez, Co-founder and CTO. Gustavo focuses on making things beautiful, whether it's his job, his dancing, or his music. He started dancing back in his home town of Mendoza, and carries his passion, his tradition, and his style everywhere he goes.
Laurel Killough, VP of Business Development. Laurel enjoys figuring out the best ways to communicate ideas and make connections online. She started dancing tango several years ago and it has slowly taken over her life. She looks forward to visiting as many of the dots on the KnowTango map [linked] as possible.
Sarah Jacob, Director of Salsa. Sarah likes to dance around. This year she is traveling around so she can dance around with lots of new interesting people all the time. What has she discovered so far? Tango people are highly intuitive sensitive generous big-hearted people who like to hug a lot.
Guoneng Zhong, Developer. Guoneng
